UAB Medicine congratulates the 2020 recipients of the Clinical Excellence in Nursing Award, the highest honor available for nursing staff within UAB Health System. Each year, professional nurses and nursing support staff are considered for this award based upon nursing knowledge, technical skills, and clinical leadership.

UAB Medicine Chief Nursing Officer Terri Poe has received many thoughtful letters from children in the community for our #uabmedicineheroes who are working tirelessly on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In recognition of the 10th anniversary of the UAB Women & Infants Center (WIC), we asked some women who delivered babies or received care at the WIC to share their experiences. UAB Medicine nurse Jennifer Cupp, RN, MSN, CRNP, describes her deliveries and the care and compassion she received.
