Why Our Nurses Love Working at UAB Medicine

  • I genuinely feel like I’m seen as a valuable member of the health care team. When I have input, I feel like it’s appreciated, and it’s respected as what I feel is best for my patient at the time. Just like I advocate for my patients, I feel like UAB has advocated for me in a lot of ways.

Anderson Lopez Castillo, BSN, RN, ECMO, Registered Nurse
  • UAB Medicine stands out among other organizations because its nursing program is Magnet-designated and because nurses continually work to improve patient care, with the inclusion of evidence-based practices as a major component.
