About UAB Medicine ENT Services

From allergies to sleep apnea, the UAB Medicine Otolaryngology Clinic provides complete care for disorders involving the ears, nose, sinuses, mouth, throat, and neck. Our ear, nose, and throat (ENT) staff includes some of the nation’s most skilled physicians and surgeons, many of whom are fellowship-trained. Our services are provided at UAB Hospital, The Kirklin Clinic of UAB Hospital, UAB Hospital-Highlands, and UAB Callahan Eye. Along with complete allergy testing and treatment services, we offer a wide range of therapy options for conditions such as:

Trach Clinic

Until now, there has not been a dedicated clinic focused on the unique needs of tracheostomy patients. This population benefits from specialized care provided by experienced clinicians who understand the challenges patients and caregivers face—especially when transitioning home. Anxiety, questions about daily care, secretion management, and difficulty obtaining supplies are common concerns. Our clinic is here to provide support and comprehensive care, including routine trach changes, evaluation and management of complications, secretion control, stoma and infection issues, assessments for speaking valve use, capping and decannulation readiness, DME and breathing treatment orders, and ongoing education for patients and caregivers.
