Located in Birmingham, Ala., UAB Medicine offers three unique paid fellowship opportunities.

Fellows are incorporated into their respective executive leadership teams, providing comprehensive experiences spanning multiple areas and diverse projects. They are tailored to meet each fellow’s needs and interests, helping them develop into well-versed health care leaders under the guidance of an executive committee, fellowship advisors, and a council of mentors.

In addition to a competitive salary and benefits package, each fellowship may provides reimbursement for health care conferences.

Summer internship

UAB Medicine also offers a comprehensive administrative summer internship experience designed to complement and enhance the educational foundation for qualified individuals.

Program information

The Administrative Internship at UAB Medicine is an engaging summer program designed to give qualified individuals a comprehensive experience in health care management at an academic medical center and enhance skills from their educational foundation. During this 12-week paid opportunity, interns are integrated into hospital leadership and engage in meaningful project work that reflects strategic priorities and personal interests. This opportunity creates a unique journey for professional growth and personal development.

Program information

Preceptor: Morgan Gaghen, senior director of imaging operations and UAB Hospital-Highlands
Pay: $20/hour
Duration: 12 weeks
Eligibility: Currently enrolled in MHA, MPH, MBA, or other related program
