About Dr. Mayo

Mayo, Tiffany

Tiffany Mayo, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist with a passion for skin health. She completed her dermatology training at UAB and has a background in clinical research. Dr. Mayo has a special interest in ethnic skin, hair loss, acne, anti-aging, laser hair removal, and issues involving skin pigmentation. She has furthered her expertise by working with renowned leaders in these areas and has published articles in several scientific journals. A wife and mother, Dr. Mayo grew up in Alabama and is committed to giving back to the community through service and education.

About Dr. Kole

Kole, Lauren

Lauren Kole, MD, grew up in Carolina Beach, NC, and graduated from Duke University with degrees in chemistry and biology. She attended medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, and she completed her internship in internal medicine at UNC Hospitals. Subsequently, Dr. Kole fulfilled her dermatology training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she served as chief resident and was awarded the Walter P. Little Award for Excellence in Dermatology.

Dr. Kole next joined the Yale University Department of Dermatology as an assistant professor. In 2018, she returned to UAB to join the faculty and become the director of the dermatology residency training program. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and sees patients for both medical and cosmetic dermatology issues. She is an active member of multiple dermatology organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Acne and Rosacea Society, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Dr. Kole has authored articles in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks and has presented at meetings regionally and internationally. She lives in the Birmingham area with her husband, Adam Kole, MD, PhD, a radiation oncologist, and their daughter.
