The UAB Men’s Health Clinic provides a range of services for common medical conditions in men. A second location, now open at UAB Hospital-Highlands, offers the same expert care in a setting designed for convenience, ease of access, and privacy.

UAB Medicine combined various men’s health care services to form the Men’s Health Clinic, first at The Kirklin Clinic of UAB Hospital and now at UAB Hospital-Highlands. Both locations offer complete treatment for conditions such as:

Services available at the clinic include prostate cancer screening, vasectomy, and girth-enhancement procedures. For services not provided at this location, clinic staff can refer patients to the right UAB Medicine specialists.

Care is provided by an experienced team of physicians and surgeons from the UAB Department of Urology, along with nurse practitioners and urology nurses and technicians. Clinic staff include Morgan Burke, CRNP, and Adam Baumgarten, M.D., who specializes in genitourinary reconstruction, urologic trauma, and prosthetic urology.

Dr. Baumgarten says the new clinic offers convenience, privacy, and nationally recognized expertise.

“Men seeking help with erectile dysfunction, for example, often search for resources online, because they wish to be discreet about their health issues,” Dr. Baumgarten said. “That’s understandable. Our clinic offers privacy and a more intimate space to receive expert diagnosis and treatment from our staff. This location is easy to access and has convenient parking. Most importantly, we are nationally recognized for excellence of care, our staff has received advanced training, and we have access to UAB’s research, clinical trials, and the latest therapies.”
