Pain treatment
Our specialists offer a range of medical treatments, procedures, and minor surgeries for spine, joint, and various other pain issues [including but not limited to epidural steroid injections, joint/bursa injections, spinal cord and dorsal root ganglion stimulation, multifidus muscle and other peripheral nerve stimulation, minimally invasive spine procedures, peripheral nerve blocks, trigger point injections, basivertebral nerve ablation, radiofrequency ablation or cryoneurolysis of nerves]. When needed, we can also arrange for psychological treatments, to address the emotional and psychological impact of chronic pain, at our UAB Hospital-Highlands location.
Telehealth appointments
Our clinic offers telehealth appointments through our UAB eMedicine service, making it easier than ever for patients to access expert pain management consultations and follow-up care from anywhere in AL.
Fast-track procedures
Procedures often require insurance pre-authorization or specific documentation, and they may be subject to certain insurance restrictions. We work with insurance companies to approve your procedure quickly whenever possible and help reduce wait times for patients through priority scheduling and UAB eMedicine appointments.
