Organized Health Care Arrangements
The UAB Medicine Enterprise currently participates in one or more Organized Health Care Arrangements involving the following:

Health Information Exchanges
The UAB Medicine Enterprise participates in certain health information exchanges (HIEs) to help enhance the quality of care you receive. The HIEs allow health organizations that participate in the HIEs to have secure electronic access to patient records for treatment, payment, or health care operations purposes, as permitted by law. UAB Medicine Enterprise currently utilizes the Alabama One Health Record and Commonwell to access and share your health information with other participants of the HIE for treatment purposes. (You may opt out of having your electronic health information included in these exchanges by completing a Request for Restriction on Use and Disclosure of Health Information form and submitting it to the Entity Privacy Coordinator.
