What services are available for non-English-speaking or deaf patients?
UAB offers language interpretation and translation services to patients whose preferred language is something other than English. More than 240 languages, including American Sign Language, are available through in-person, telephonic, or video interpretation. To reach an interpreter, please dial *55 from a UAB Hospital telephone, or contact us by email at interpreterrequest@uabmc.edu.
