The Otolaryngology Clinic at UAB Medicine St. Vincent’s One Nineteen provides complete medical and surgical care for conditions affecting the ear, nose, and throat (ENT), as well as the head and neck. Previously known as Alabama Nasal and Sinus Center, it opened its doors under the current name in January 2025.
The clinic is conveniently located on the UAB Medicine St. Vincent’s One Nineteen campus, just off of U.S. Highway 280 in the Greystone community. Its highly trained specialists have decades of experience treating conditions such as:
- Chronic sore throat, runny nose, or cough
- Sinus pressure or nasal congestion that won’t go away
- Severe snoring/sleep apnea
- Dizziness/vertigo
- Severe allergies
- Swallowing disorders, such as dysphagia
The treatments and services provided include:
- Rhinology care for nasal and sinus disorders, including procedures such as:
- Advanced endoscopic treatment for complex sinus and skull base conditions, including cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks
- Posterior nasal nerve (PNN) ablation, for chronic rhinitis
- Eustachian tube balloon dilation, to improve eardrum function
- Suture alignment for nasal septal deviation
- Audiology care for conditions that affect hearing and balance
- Custom-fit hearing aids and the latest assistive technologies
- General ENT care
Many of the treatments offered are minimally invasive procedures, some of which require no incisions (cuts) and generally provide faster healing compared to traditional methods. The clinic takes part in clinical research trials that study promising new therapies, so patients may have access to treatments not yet available from other providers.
