Nursing teams from UAB Medicine and Children’s of Alabama gathered on Oct. 12 for the second annual Nurses Block Party, a fall celebration featuring food, games, face-painting, and community fellowship.
Food trucks were stationed throughout the event, offering everything from savory southern dishes to sweet desserts. And there were plenty of games and activities – including cornhole, giant Jenga, and a photo booth – to give nurses a well-deserved break from their demanding schedules.
More than just a social event, the Nurses Block Party recognizes the vital contributions that nurses make every day. It’s a meaningful reminder that Birmingham’s nurses are the heart of health care in the community.
