The Birmingham Business Journal (BBJ) named UAB Medicine Director of Advanced Practice Providers Eileen Meyer, DNP, MLS, CRNP, ACNP-BC, LSSGB, as one of its Top Birmingham Women for 2025.

Meyer supports nurse practitioners and physician assistants in delivering high-quality patient care, helps advance clinical practice, and mentors the next generation of health care providers. She also serves as a clinical assistant professor of Nursing.

The annual Top Birmingham Women award honors women who have reached the highest levels of leadership in their careers while also shaping the community and contributing to their organizations’ success. Honorees are nominated and chosen for their ability to lead with impact, drive growth, and serve as role models for future generations.

Meyer’s recognition places her among a select group of leaders from across Birmingham, including executives in banking, law, education, and consulting. Her contributions at UAB Medicine reflect her commitment to advancing our institution and making a positive difference in the broader community.

She and her fellow honorees will be celebrated during the BBJ’s Women’s Summit on Friday, Sept. 26, at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex. The event will feature speakers, networking, and recognition of this year’s Top Birmingham Women, Women to Watch, and the recipient of the Odessa Woolfolk Lifetime Achievement Award.

We are proud that Meyer is being recognized for the leadership and dedication she demonstrates at UAB Medicine every day.
