Introducing UAB Anesthesiology’s new podcast featuring national and international guest speakers

Introducing UAB Anesthesiology's new podcast

UAB Medicine Anesthesiology is pleased to announce the launch of its first podcast for medical professionals.

Fresh Flow is a collaboration between UAB Medicine and the Association of Anesthesia Clinical Directors (AACD) and hosted by UAB’s Matthew Sherrer, M.D. MBA, FASA, FAACD, and Mitchell H. Tsai, M.D., MMM, FASA, FAACD, from the University of Vermont.

“Podcasting is an exciting new way for our department and the AACD to expand our collective reach and explore new opportunities in the perioperative space,” Sherrer says.

In each episode, Sherrer and Tsai take listeners beyond the basic science and clinical application conversations to explore timely, thought-provoking topics that impact anesthesiology and perioperative medicine. As innovative leaders in their field and the AACD, the team invites both national and international guests to join conversation, including Alex Macario, M.D., MBA, of Stanford Medicine; Jaideep Pandit, DPHIL, FRCA, DM, MBA, of St. John’s College, Oxford; and other esteemed anesthesiologists.

“It has been an absolute blast thus far,” Sherrer says. “Mitch is incredibly bright but also incredibly relatable, which makes him so easy to work with. I have learned a ton from our guests already, and we are just getting started!”
