Congratulations to the most recent winner, Kathryn Glick, RN. Below, a colleague explains what makes Kathryn worthy of a DAISY Award.
While Kathryn was on her way into work recently, she noticed a pregnant woman in distress in the back of an ambulance. The emergency medical technician (EMT) was doing their best to help the woman; however, as a very knowledgeable labor and delivery nurse, Kathryn jumped into action. Before the patient could be moved to a hospital room, Kathryn safely helped deliver the woman’s baby. Then, she went into the hospital and worked her standard 12-hour shift. Kathryn is kind and compassionate and always rises to the occasion.
