Program Highlights

UAB Orthopaedics is staffed by fellowship-trained physicians, surgeons, and other specialists who specialize in foot and ankle problems and provide care for a wide range of injuries and diseases, using both surgical and non-surgical methods. Our program performs more original and corrective total ankle arthroplasty surgeries than any medical center in the world. The team is supported by musculoskeletal radiologists who carry out advanced diagnostic imaging, and we work closely with other medical specialties to develop comprehensive care plans that offer the greatest chance of restoring or improving mobility and reducing or eliminating pain.
