How to Refer a Patient
For referrals or inpatient transfers, call 1-800-UAB-MIST (800-822-6478) or email email@example.com. UAB MIST is a toll-free, 24-hour service that connects physicians anywhere in the country with UAB Medicine specialists.
A patient can self-refer for a clinic appointment but needs a physician referral and records review for an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit admission. Inpatient to Inpatient transfers come through MIST. Click here for the referral form required for the monitoring unit.
