Sleeve Gastrectomy

A sleeve gastrectomy is a surgery to help people lose weight. The surgeon uses special tools to make the stomach smaller by removing 80% of it. This means patients can’t eat as much food, and they also feel less hungry.

The procedure is minimally invasive, which means it only requires a few small cuts, so it hurts less and heals faster compared to most surgeries. Most patients leave the hospital in 1-2 days and can go back to work within two weeks.

This surgery is permanent and can’t be undone. As with any surgery, there are some risks, but the operation is generally safe. The surgeon will explain those risks.
