Student Opportunities

UAB Medicine offers unique hands-on imaging experience with flexible schedules for student technicians who are interested in developing their skills and fast-tracking their career growth. First year students enrolled in an imaging program can work as a radiologic technologist assistant (RTA). This position will be involved in direct patient care and can assist the RT in imaging patients. Second year students can work as a student technologist. This position will be involved in direct patient care and can image patients independently.
