Visiting UAB Medicine In Person

PREPARING FOR IN-PERSON VISITS

Keeping patients and families safe is our number one priority. If you have fever, cough, shortness of breath, sinus congestion, sore throat, body aches, or loss of taste or smell, please do not come in person to your appointment. If you are awaiting COVID test results, tested positive for COVID within the last 10 days or been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID in the last 10 days, please do not come in person to your appointment. If any of these apply to you, please call your physician’s office directly to change your in-person visit to a telehealth (video) visit or to reschedule for a later date.

Please remember to bring your medication bottles with you to every visit. Also, we have made changes to the waiting areas and elevators to promote social distancing, so please follow the instructions on the signs and do not move any chairs or furniture. The links below help explain our policies on masks, visitors, and cleaning.
