CVI Awards and Recognition

In its 2022-2023 Best Hospitals list, U.S. News & World Report ranked the UAB Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) among the nation’s top programs for cardiology and heart surgery. UAB is the only ranked hospital in Alabama. The UAB CVI also was recognized as “high-performing” – the highest classification – in numerous adult cardiovascular procedures and conditions, including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic valve surgery, heart attack, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
