We know that hospitalization can be emotionally and spiritually challenging for patients, their families, and guests. UAB Spiritual Health provides chaplains 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to offer emotional and spiritual support specific to your faith and religious tradition. Please contact your nurse or dial *55 to request a visit by a chaplain, or contact UAB Spiritual Health at 205-934-4254 between 8 am and 4 pm Monday through Friday.
Interfaith chapels for private prayer and meditation are available on the 1st floor of the West Pavilion, the 2nd floor of the Women & Infants Center, and the 4th floor of UAB Hospital-Highlands. A sanctuary for meditation and prayer is located on the 2nd floor of the North Pavilion. Weekly faith-based worship services are held in the West Pavilion Interfaith Chapel on the 1st floor.
