COVID-19 Vaccinations

Thank you for your interest in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. Learn more about the vaccine, safety, and other important information below including answers to the most common questions.

At this time, everyone age 12 and older is eligible for vaccination. UAB Medicine provides the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine that requires two doses spaced at least 21 days apart.

UAB Medicine currently provides two Injection Clinics that provide COVID-19 vaccines for current patients, employees, and the community. The first site is located in the former Regions Bank space at the corner of the Kirklin Clinic (TKC) parking deck, at 539 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. South. The clinic provides COVID-19 vaccinations at no charge to both employees and the public (age 12 and up) and is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 3 pm.  Click here for directions.

A second location within the Kirklin Clinic itself also is providing vaccines, but only to existing UAB Medicine patients. Located on the second floor of TKC, this vaccination site is open Monday-Friday from 8 am to 4:15 pm.

An appointment can easily be scheduled at UABMedicineVaccine.org. You may also receive your vaccine without an appointment. Just visit one of the locations during regular operating hours to receive your vaccination. People who received their first dose outside of the UAB system may come to either clinic for their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
