Can a combination of vitamins minerals foods drinks be used to ramp up immune system to protect against coronavirus?
Many vitamins and minerals play a role in the immune system. Mega-doses of any one vitamin or mineral can be dangerous and will not prevent or treat COVID-19. No research has shown that using any supplement protects against COVID-19. We recommend focusing on healthy lifestyle habits, such as a well-balanced diet filled with nutrients, exercise, hydration, and getting enough sleep to support the immune system.
