BINGO... New Year, New Ways to Improve Your Heart
Have you resolved to make this the year to improve your cardiovascular health, but you aren’t sure where to start? Our heart-healthy bingo card makes it easy to break down your goal into actionable steps, tackle them one at a time, and track your progress.
Print out the card and post it somewhere prominent, perhaps on the refrigerator or bathroom mirror. Check off the tips you may already be doing — way to go! Next, choose the action item you want to tackle first (some are easy, some may require more of a time commitment) and decide how to make it happen. For example, if you want to move more, resolve to take a morning walk five days a week. Lace up your walking shoes and hit the sidewalk or trail!
Once you establish a habit, mark it off on your card, and choose your next goal. Keep at it, and eventually you will find that you have marked off an entire row — vertically, horizontally, or diagonally — and BINGO, you win! But don’t stop there; now go for another row. Your prize? A healthier heart this time next year.
