The Maternity Evaluation Unit is an assessment unit for all pregnant women for any medical or obstetrical complaint during their pregnancy.
Patient Population
- Patients experiencing pregnancy with an obstetrical or medical complication
Number of Beds
- 13
Nurse/Patient Ratio
- 1:1 - 1:5 (depending upon acuity)
Rotation/Shifts
- 12 hour shifts 8a-8p and 8p-8a
Skill Mix
- Registered Nurse - 100%
Nursing Unit Orientation
- requires 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
