Department of Mental Health Adolescent Unit

The Department of Mental Health Adolescent Unit  (DMH Unit)cares for adolescent patients with a history of mental illness that require an intensive, long term treatment environment. The Alabama Department of Mental Health and UAB Hospital have partnered together to create an atmosphere that reduces the stigma of being committed for long term care to a state institution.

• 6 - 12 weeks depending upon experience
