UAB Medicine Inverness is located at 1250 Inverness Corners, intersection of Valleydale Road and Highway 280, Birmingham AL 35242. Our office hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except for holidays. Please call (205) 980-0035. with any questions.

Appointments
To schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment, please call (205) 980-0035. We appreciate your cancellation at least 24 hours in advance.

Please arrive 30 minutes before a new-patient appointment to allow for completion of registration paperwork and 10 minutes prior to appointment time for return patients.

After Hours and Emergencies
If you need to reach a physician after hours, call 934-3411 and ask for the physician on call. If this is a true medical emergency, please dial 911 for immediate assistance.

What to Bring with You
When you come to your appointment, please bring your insurance card, a photo ID, bottles of any prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and dietary supplements that you are currently taking, and any pertinent medical information from other health care providers.

Payment Information
Your insurance co-pay is expected at the time of your visit. It is our policy to file insurance claims with Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare, Medicaid, UAB VIVA, and VIVA Health, as well as most other insurance providers. When you call for an appointment, we will verify your coverage.

Labs/Test Results
Please allow  7-10 days from the time of any lab or other tests to be completely processed. You will be notified of any normal test results either by telephone, mail, or at your next office visit. Any significant abnormal lab or test values will be relayed to you by your physician as soon as the results are obtained.

Prescriptions
To obtain a refill for any medications prescribed by this clinic, please call (205) 980-0035. Please have your pharmacy name and telephone number available to provide to our staff. Medication refill requests should be called in between 8 am and 3 pm. Allow 24 hours for routine prescriptions to be filled. We suggest calling your drugstore prior to pick-up to make sure your medication is ready.

Patients with Limitations
