Parking
Parking for the UAB Women & Infants Center is available in the 4th Avenue Parking Deck, located on 18th Street and 4th Avenue South. Valet parking is also available. Obstetrics patients admitted to the Women & Infants Center will receive one free day of parking.

Visiting Hours
The UAB Women and Infants Center has open visitation policy with no age requirements or set times. All visitors are required to check in on the first floor with the patient's name and room number to receive their visitor ID badge. If visitors are sick or have children that are sick, they are encouraged to stay home.
Note: The RNICU and Continuing Care Nursery have differing visiting hours.
Guest Services
A guest services desk, staffed 24/7, is located on the first floor of the Center if you have questions or need assistance with directions.
What to Bring With You
While individual visits to the Women & Infants Center will vary, all of our patients should bring with them a government-issued photo identification (driver’s license, military ID, passport), insurance card, a list of medications with doses and an Advanced Directive or Health Care Proxy document if applicable.
Paying Your Bill
Co-pay is due upon admittance, and any remaining payment due will be mailed after your stay with us.
Dining and Accommodations
Room services meals are available for patients admitted to the Women and Infants Center. In addition, patients and their families may choose from a variety of dining options within the UAB North Pavilion Hospital (connected by sky bridge) and surrounding downtown Birmingham, or may bring their own meals with them to the Center. Gifts
A full gift shop is also located in UAB’s North Pavilion Hospital, connected by sky bridge.

Pharmacy
There are a variety of pharmacies located in the medical center district of Birmingham, as well as a UAB pharmacy located in The Kirklin Clinic.
RNICU and CCN Screenings
Visitors to the Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RNICU) and Continuing Care Nursery (CCN) will be screened for contagious illness prior to entering those facilities to maintain the health of our smallest patients.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside any UAB facility. There is a designated smoking area outside of the building. Please ask the guest services representative at the lobby desk for directions to the designed smoking area.
Special Needs
The UAB Women & Infants Center is equipped to serve patients with special needs. The entire Center is wheelchair accessible. For patients who do not speak English, the Center has 24/7 access to interpreters as well as a Language Line.
Pastoral Services and Chapel
The Women & Infants Center Chapel, located on the second floor, is open 24/7. Sunday services are held in the West Pavilion Chapel.
Business Center
The Women & Infants Center is equipped with public computers and printers on each floor in the Family Rooms.
Breastfeeding
Board-certified lactation consultants are available
to answer questions about breastfeeding, pumping and storage.
