At UAB, we strive to provide our patients with the highest quality, most comprehensive care available. To further this effort, the Internal Medicine 1 (IM1) clinic is transforming its practice into a patient-centered medical home.

A Patient-Centered Medical Home is not actually a "home," but an approach to health care delivery that emphasizes continuous, comprehensive, coordinated care and facilitates a partnership between the individual patient and his or her personal physician.
