The UAB Comprehensive Diabetes Center provides diabetes treatment and research programs in an effort to treat and cure the serious and growing national health crisis of diabetes. Our expert clinician-scientists provide cutting-edge diabetes care for children and adults. Through the Transition Clinic, UAB physicians help transition children and adolescents with diabetes to adult medical care. The National Institutes of Health has designated UAB one of only six Diabetes Research and Training Centers in the country.
