Vein Disease Overview

The UAB Vein Program treats the spectrum of venous conditions, ranging from the cosmetic, like spider and varicose veins, to more serious, life-threatening illnesses. Venous disease affects nearly 1 million people in Alabama, but is often overlooked or under-diagnosed. The vascular surgeons and medical experts at the UAB Vein Program specialize in vein disease and offer state-of-the-art treatments.

The UAB Vein Program provides outpatient care at the UAB Vein Clinic at UAB Hospital-Highlands and more intensive treatment at UAB Hospital. As the only program of its kind in the state, the UAB Vein Program is designed to care for a wide range of venous problems.
