At UAB Medicine, our goal is to facilitate and encourage collaboration across all UAB Medicine organizational units along with other schools on the UAB campus and community, state, and national organizations to achieve success. Alignment and integration are vital components of this goal, supporting innovation and improving satisfaction, quality, and financial performance in all of our missions.

To become the Preferred Academic Medical Center of the 21st Century, we must align interests and initiatives to ensure efficient leveraging of resources and the most rapid translation of advances to the health of Alabamians and the nation. Signature programs have been identified that will fuel advancements in both fundamental and clinical investigation.
