UAB Hospital Wins Consumer’s Choice AwardUAB Hospital has again won the National Research Corporation (NRC) Consumer Choice Award based on consumer perceptions of quality and image. UAB, which has won this award every year since 2000, is the only hospital in the Birmingham Metropolitan Statistical Area listed among the NRC's 250 top hospitals.
Even More of the Best Doctors in Alabama Call UAB Home More than two-thirds of the best doctors in Alabama practice at UAB, according to the 2009-10 edition of The Best Doctors in America. The new edition recognizes 297 UAB physicians among the nation’s best doctors, a total of 67 percent of the 446 physicians selected from the state of Alabama.
