The Division of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a nationally ranked geriatrics program, serves older adults by providing leadership and core faculty for innovative models of clinical care; teaching and instructing students, fellows, and residents; and conducting research that generates new knowledge contributing to the advancement of science and the quality of life.
The Kirklin Clinic is the home of UAB's nationally ranked geriatrics program and has as one of its greatest advantages the presence of general practitioners and specialists from all fields. This unique mix of disciplines makes it easy for physicians to collaborate on diagnoses and treatments.
The UAB Center for Aging promotes the health and well-being of older persons and their families by conducting and promoting aging related
